For our local Incline Village real estate market, 2017 was indeed a great year. With 444 total sales (single family homes, condos and lots combined) we saw a 6% increase in the number of total sales when compared to 2016 and a great median sales price improvement. For single-family homes, the median sales price increased by 6% and for condos, prices went up by 7%, yet another indication of how great our real estate market is.
However, our biggest challenge in 2017, which continues into this year, was the shortage of properties for sale. We had a lot of buyers willing to purchase a home but were unable to locate the right property. As we enter the new year, we are anticipating the market will continue to improve with strong buyer demand and low inventory.
